BRIEF HISTORY OF THE TRUST
The alarming and increasing number of orphans and the multitude of problems they face, especially in their educational pursuit, in Ikara made some concerned citizens of Ikara to come together to initiate efforts towards ameliorating some of these problems. This initiative ultimately led to the establishment of the Ikara Orphanage Charity Trust in 2008. The Trust started with five orphans in the first year; taking care of their education, health care, feeding, and clothing. This number has increased to eight hundred and ninety-five (895) in 2022.
